Checklists

Checklists help you create your to-do items and check them off when completed.

On desktops

You can either click the checklist icon
in the upper toolbar of your note editor or type [] with a space to create a to-do item. You may also use the shortcut Cmd/Ctrl + 9 to make a checklist.
When completed, simply tick the box to mark it as done. Your text in the checklist item will be grayed out. You may change the style of text for completed to-do items from Settings > Editor > Completed todo items

You may also use the shortcut Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 9 to toggle the state of your todo items. If you want to add a completed todo item, you can type [x] with a space.
Your notes which contain incomplete todo items will appear in the Todo filter in the sidebar.

On mobile

To add a todo item, tap the checklist icon
in the formatting bar. You may toggle the state of your todo item by tapping the checklist icon for each todo item.
