Hide and show a notebook

In UpNote you can choose to hide notebooks when not in use to keep your sidebar clean and get more focused.

On desktop

To hide a notebook from the sidebar:

  1. Hover over a notebook and click the ... button, or right click on the notebook

  2. Select Hide from Sidebar

To access a hidden notebook:

  1. Click the NOTEBOOKS section label to see all notebooks

  2. Find a notebook in the notebook screen. Click the folder icon in the notebook cover to view its nested notebook.

  3. Double click on the notebook to open and show it in the sidebar.

On iOS

To hide a notebook from the sidebar:

  1. Swipe left on a notebook in the sidebar

  2. Tap the hide button

To access a hidden notebook:

  1. Tap the NOTEBOOKS section label to see all notebooks

  2. Find a notebook in the notebook screen. If the notebooks in nested in another notebook, tap the folder icon in the notebook cover to view its nested notebook.

  3. Select the desired notebook to show it in the sidebar.

On Android

To hide a notebook from the sidebar:

  1. Long tap on a notebook in the sidebar

  2. Tap the Hide from Sidebar button

To access a hidden notebook:

  1. Find a notebook in the notebook screen. If the notebooks in nested in another notebook, tap the folder icon in the notebook cover to view its nested notebook.

Tap the NOTEBOOKS section label to see all notebooks

Select the desired notebook to show it in the sidebar.
