If you encounter an issue while using UpNote:
Please first make sure your app is updated to the latest version by going to Settings > Help > Check for updates.
If you are already on the latest version and the issue persists, kindly send us an email at [email protected].
To help us better understand and fix the problem, it would be very helpful if you could include the following in your email:
A debug log (go to Settings > Feedback > Save debug log)
A screenshot or screen recording showing the problem
How to take screen recording on your device:
🖥 Mac (macOS)
Shortcut method:
Press Shift + Command (⌘) + 5 → choose Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion → click Record.
To stop: click the Stop button in the menu bar or press Command + Control + Esc.
Saved to: Desktop (by default, unless you changed the setting).
🖥 Windows
Xbox Game Bar (built-in):
Press Windows + G → in the overlay, click Record (circle button).
Or use Windows + Alt + R to start/stop recording directly.
⚠️ Only records apps, not File Explorer or desktop.
Alternative: Use free tools like OBS Studio for full-screen/desktop recording.
🖥 Linux
Depends on the desktop environment:
GNOME (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.): Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R to start/stop recording (saves as WebM in ~/Videos/Screen Recordings).
KDE (Kubuntu, etc.): Use Spectacle (for screenshots) + third-party apps like OBS Studio, Kazam, or SimpleScreenRecorder for video.
📱 iOS (iPhone / iPad)
Go to Settings > Control Center > Add “Screen Recording”.
Swipe down (Control Center) → tap the Record button (a circle with a dot).
After a 3-second countdown, recording starts.
To stop: tap the red status bar / Dynamic Island / Control Center.
📱 Android
Most devices (Android 11+):
Swipe down → Quick Settings → tap Screen Record.
Choose whether to record audio and show touches.
Tap Start (3-second countdown).
Stop via notification bar.
If not available: Use apps like AZ Screen Recorder or Mobizen from Google Play.
