Web clipping extension

UpNote supports web clipping extension on Chrome, Safari and Firefox so you can quickly save any web page from your browser to UpNote.

On Chrome

• Install the web clipping extension for Chrome here

• Open your web page in Chrome and click the UpNote icon in the upper right corner of your browser to clip the web page to UpNote

• Click the Open UpNote button

On Firefox

• Install the web clipping extension for Firefox here

• Open your web page in Firefox and click the UpNote icon in the upper right corner of your browser to clip the web page to UpNote

• Click the Open Link button

On Safari

• Install the web clipping extension for Safari here

• Open your web page in Safari and click the UpNote icon in the top bar of your browser to clip the web page to UpNote

• Select your preference for the clipping

FAQ: When using the web clipper why do I get a warning that it requests access to my entire web activity? When you click on the web clipper, it reads the web page, extracts the content and removes unwanted navigation and ads, and then sends the article to the UpNote app. The process is completely offline, no data is sent from the web clipper to any other server. You can even use the web clipper without an UpNote account. However, since it reads the web page content, the browser will display a warning because the website may contain sensitive information. However, we have not and will never attempt to access any sensitive information.
