Sort notebooks in the sidebar

Sort by title

• Open Settings > General > Sort items in the sidebar

• Select Title (A -> Z) or Title (Z -> A)

Custom sorting of main notebooks

• Open Settings > General > Sort items in the sidebar > select Custom

• On Mac, Windows and Linux: Drag the notebook up or down to rearrange the order.

• On iOS: Tap and hold a notebook in the sidebar and drag it up or down to rearrange the order.

• On Android:

  1. Tap and hold a notebook in the sidebar and select Rearrange in the pop up.

  2. Drag the handle in the right side of each notebook row to rearrange

Custom sorting of nested notebooks

1. Open the parent notebook to view its nested notebooks in the notes list panel.

   • If they don’t appear, go to Settings > General > Enable “Show nested notebooks in the notes list.”

2. Drag the nested notebooks up or down in the notes list panel to reorder them.

   • Their new order will also be reflected in the sidebar

3. Note: If you can’t drag to rearrange, please make sure that Custom sorting is enabled from Settings > General > Sort items in the sidebar.
