# Edit a notebook

You can easily edit your notebooks in UpNote to keep your workspace organized. This includes **renaming**, **moving**, or **deleting** notebooks, as well as adjusting their order in the sidebar.

### On **desktop**

* Right click on the notebook in the side bar and select **`Edit`** .\

* You will then be able to edit the notebook's name, cover, lock function and its parent notebook.\

### On mobile

* If you are already inside a notebook, tap the **`...`** button at the bottom right corner of the note list screen and select Edit Notebook.\

* You can also go to the sidebar and swipe to the right of the notebook row and select the edit button.\
