# Organize with tags

Tags in UpNote are created directly within your notes using **inline hashtags**. Simply type a `#` followed by your keyword to tag a note instantly. This makes it easy to group related notes across different notebooks, filter by topics, and quickly jump to connected content. Whether you're organizing projects, journaling themes, or tracking ideas, inline hashtags help you stay flexible and find information faster — without moving notes from their original locations.
