# Word count

Follow the steps below to view the word count in your note:

### On desktop

* Click the <img src="https://3053791484-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFt4LISrSRa6fHrbSIdcE%2Fuploads%2FkmeU28S2UoXGGslM5I9K%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=a01762fa-a8da-4ea7-ad30-92df0a16fe58" alt="" data-size="line">icon at the bottom right corner of your note editor to open the **`Info Panel`** (or use the shortcut **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`Shift`** + **`I`** to toggle the panel)
* Expand the **`Word count`** section if needed\

### On mobile
