# Typewriter mode

### What is Typewriter mode?

In Typewriter Mode, the line you are typing is kept at the center of the screen. This is useful when you write or edit a long note and prefer to keep your eye at the middle of the screen, instead of the bottom.

### Enable Typewriter mode

Typewriter mode is available on **desktop** app. To turn this mode on, go to **`Settings`** > **`Editor`** > **`Typewrite Mode`** as below:

To quickly toggle this mode while writing, use the keyboard shortcut **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`Shift`** + **`T`**
