# Images

Follow the steps below to insert images in your note:

### On desktop

1. Click the image icon <img src="https://3053791484-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFt4LISrSRa6fHrbSIdcE%2Fuploads%2FlRR2UJIF4TX3tMNp2Brk%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=23f1b669-2e69-4f62-9916-e85f3188510c" alt="" data-size="line"> in the top bar of your note editor
2. Select the image(s) you want to paste from the pop up window

You may also use the shortcut **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`C`** and **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`V`** to copy and paste the image directly in your note.

### On mobile

1. Tap the image icon <img src="https://3053791484-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFt4LISrSRa6fHrbSIdcE%2Fuploads%2FlRR2UJIF4TX3tMNp2Brk%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=23f1b669-2e69-4f62-9916-e85f3188510c" alt="" data-size="line"> in the formatting bar
2. Select the image(s) you want to paste from your phone
