# Format your text

UpNote has a wide variety of tools to format and style your text, similar to any word processor.

### On desktop

Click the **`Aa`** button in the lower right corner of your note editor to show the formatting bar. Or, use the shortcut **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`Shift`** + **`A`** to toggle the bar.

You can apply various style for your text by highlighting the text and clicking the formatting options in the formatting bar, or use the [text formatting keyboard shortcuts](https://help.getupnote.com/~/revisions/OefAogcTDRyDfPXWqIui/others/keyboard-shortcuts#text-formatting).

You may also write with Markdown if you are more familiar with this.

### On mobile

The formatting bar is located right above your keyboard. Swipe to the right to see more formatting options.

If there are formatting options you use more frequently the others, you can move them to the front of your formatting bar. Here is how:

1. Swipe right to the end of the formatting bar.
2. Tap the **`Edit`** button.
3. Drag the hamburger icon in the right side of each icon up/down to rearrange their order.
