# Create a new note

UpNote is designed to to help you take note easily and conveniently anytime, anywhere. 

### On desktops

* Click the **`New Note`** button in the upper right corner of your UpNote window.
* You can also use the keyboard shortcut **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`N`** to create a new note.

### On mobile

* Tap the round blue button at the bottom center of your note list screen.
