# Pin a note to the top

If you have an important note, you may pin it to the top of your note list so you can refer to it quickly.

### On desktop

* Click the <img src="https://3053791484-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFt4LISrSRa6fHrbSIdcE%2Fuploads%2FcgxABeEjVkyOBAy1NVn2%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=400462b7-9de3-448e-bd2c-263353d31726" alt="" data-size="line"> button in the top bar of the note editor to pin/unpin your note
* Or use the shortcut **`Cmd/Ctrl`** + **`Shift`** + **`P`** to toggle pinning

### On iOS
