# Drawing & handwriting

You can insert drawing and handwriting on iPhone and iPad apps.

### On iPhone

* Tap the **`+`** button in the formatting bar and select **`Drawing`** \

* Start drawing or writing in the drawing screen with your finger
* Tap the **`Done`** button in the upper right corner of the drawing screen to insert the drawing

### On iPad

* Tap <img src="/files/ols5y2UonRXACXs8yv1R" alt="" data-size="line">in the upper right corner of the note editor to insert drawing
* Start drawing or writing in the drawing screen with Apple Pencil or with your finger
* Tap the **`Done`** button in the upper right corner of the drawing screen to insert the drawing
